Mari K. Schaan

Mari was raised in North Dakota and Minnesota. She grew up in a construction and farming family. Following undergraduate studies in art and philosophy at North Dakota State University, Mari attended and graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

Since obtaining her law degree, Mari has focused her practice on personal injury litigation, including cases involving defective products, motor vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and premises liability. She has defended construction and industrial clients in products liability litigation, including consumer product manufacturers, tire manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and lessors, and automotive and recreational vehicle manufacturers. Mari has defended countless freight carriers, companies, and individuals involved in motor vehicle, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle accidents. Mari’s practice is also devoted to administrative law for workplace accidents, specifically workers’ compensation subrogation and OSHA citations. She has also defended numerous stores, hotels, and restaurants involved in premises liability litigation.
