Personal:
Karie N. Wilson began her legal career at
Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders in 2001 following her graduation from
law school. In October 2007, Karie became a partner in the firm. She focuses
her practice in civil litigation with an emphasis in product liability and
transportation litigation. Karie is licensed to practice in all courts in
the State of Nevada, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals. She is also licensed to practice in California.
Karie was born in Pueblo, Colorado. When she was 5 her family moved to
Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her father took a teaching job. Karie
graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor
of Arts in Political Science in 1998. While at UNM, she was a member of Phi
Beta Kappa. Karie attended California Western School of Law on a three year
academic scholarship. During law school, Karie participated on the Moot
Court Team and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Karie
graduated from California Western School of Law in 2000 with a Juris
Doctorate.
Karie was selected in 2008 as a Nevada Super Lawyer Rising Star. She
was also named in the Nevada Business Journal (June 2008) as one of Nevada’s
Top Attorneys. Karie is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the
Supreme Court Historical Society.
