Personal:
Mari K. Schaan was born in Seoul, South Korea, but was raised in North
Dakota. She attended North Dakota State University where she majored
in Philosophy and Fine Art. She graduated magna cum laude in 2004 with
a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Humanities.
Mari received her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the University of North
Dakota, were she graduated magna cum laude and achieved a highest grade
distinction in estate planning.
While attending law school,
Mari worked for over two years as a legal assistant working on cases
involving medical malpractice defense, criminal defense, family law, and
estate planning. She also had the opportunity to draft legal arguments
presented to the North Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of
Appeals.
Mari now specializes in civil transportation litigation.
