Personal:
Marcus Thorsteinsson is an associate with Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen &
Sanders. His practice includes many areas of civil litigation, including
insurance bad faith, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, premises
liability, and professional liability. Marcus is admitted to practice law in
the State of Nevada and is licensed in both the State Court and the United
States District Court, District of Nevada.
Marcus was born in Arlington, Texas and
grew up in both Canada and the United States. He attended Arizona State
University where, in 2005, he obtained dual degrees–a Bachelor of Arts in
Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies. In 2008, he
received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law, where he
was awarded an Academic Merit Scholarship from 2006-2008. While in law
school, Marcus clerked at the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Criminal
Division, where he worked on matters involving public corruption and white
collar crime and fraud, and interned for the Bail Project under the
supervision of the San Diego Public Defenders Office. He was also a second
year clerk at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders during the summer of
2007, where he was exposed to a wide variety of civil litigation matters.
