Personal:
Sam
Castor practices civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice,
and commercial litigation. He began his legal career at Alverson, Taylor,
Mortensen & Sanders in 2009, after receiving his Juris Doctorate from
Catholic University Columbus School of Law in Washington D.C., with a
certificate from Catholic’s Communications Law Institute. He received his
Bachelor of Arts in 2005 from Brigham Young University in Public Relations.
While
in D.C., Sam gained extensive federal government experience and worked in
all three branches of the United States’ Government. Sam worked with various
Federal Government Agencies including the Federal Communications Commission,
and the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Rural Utility Services. He served
as a legal extern for Nevada’s esteemed U.S. District Court Judge, Lloyd
George. He finished his law school studies while working at the Office of
Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President, for
both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama; assisting in formulating National
Telecommunications and Internet Policy. Prior to law school he worked as a
staff member for Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah.
Sam led the Catholic University Moot Court Team
to victory in the 2009 National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition
hosted by the Federal Communications Bar Association. Sam is a shotgun
enthusiast and speaks fluent Romanian and Moldavian (a Russian pidgin of
Romanian).
